Baby boomers have reshaped what it means to grow older. Compared with their parents, boomers are healthier, better educated and living well into their 80's and beyond. The increasing lifespan has given boomers the chance to reinvent themselves and pursue new passions at any age.
Today's boomers and older Americans are an extraordinary pool of social and human capital that could yield unprecedented returns for business and society. As a result of this emerging trend, older Americans across our nation need some new tools to see if they have what it takes to start up their own new business to supplement their retirement incomes.
Senior Entrepreneurship is a curriculum devoted especially to individuals age 55 and over. This curriculum will be used by instructors at Community Colleges throughout the nation to challenge them while providing them with the tools that are needed to set them up for success as they embark on a new journey in their life.
This project is funded by The Coleman Foundation.
